We’ve taken a little hiatus due to a bout with a Martian Death Flu and GHI (General Holiday Insanity).
We are still taking baby steps in the blogging world and have learned so much in 2014 about ourselves and this new path we’ve joined. Thanks for taking the journey with us.
We started this little blog in September and so far have just over 50 posts. We’d love to give you a brief recap of our top recipe posts of 2014 to wrap up the year – starting with #10 and moving up on the list.
#10 – Rosemary Olive Oil Cake w/ Chocolate Ganache
Greg’s b-day cake was a hit – not just with him, but with you!
#9 – Sweet Potato & Butternut Squash Bake
A twist on a family tradition! Really, you could almost serve this for dessert too…
#8 – Roasted Chicken with Pumpkin Ale Pan Sauce
Our “eat with your hands caveman-style” roasted chicken.
#7 – Caramelized Brussels Sprout Gratin
This is one of those looks bad, tastes AH-MAZE-ING recipes. Hot and bubbly, it is almost a meal by itself!
#6 – Gin Brined Turkey
Apparently, everyone here likes gin. We don’t blame you.
This was our first official post and we are proud that it made it into the top 10. This was my Grandmother’s go to dressing and I mangled it entirely – but isn’t that what cooking is about?
#4 – Brown Bag Apple Pie
Because who can resist a good apple pie? With a streusel crust? Baked to perfection? In a brown paper bag? WAIT, what? Yes, I said a brown paper bag. Guess you’ll just have to read the post.
#3 – Duck Bacon Jam with Coffee & Thyme
What is better than bacon? Duck bacon of course. So it only stands to reason that Duck Bacon Jam will be better than regular ol’ bacon jam…
#2 – Persimmon Shrub for Cocktails & Sodas
This is going to be a winter staple in my kitchen for years to come. Glad you loved it too!
#1 – Dry Brined Turkey with Extra Crispy Skin
Apparently everyone is as sick and tired of sloshing brine all over their kitchen as I am. Dry brine for the win!
Thanks for taking this foodist journey with us. Here is to many more food adventures and travels in 2015!

So fun to see what your top 10 posts are! Hope this year is even better for you guys!
Thanks! We are really excited to see what this year brings. Kudos you as well!
